    MOBOTIX changes the concept of video camera to intelligent video agents.     Compared to a centralized PC solution with video management software, the MOBOTIX storage concept offers the advantage of placing less burden on the network. After all, there's no need to transmit a continuous stream of camera frames to the centralized PC for analysis.

    Instead, image processing and event control only occur in the cameras themselves, and they decide what to store. Therefore, the network is only occupied when events occur and during storage. What's more, storing the video images briefly in the camera enables it to bridge short network failures or fluctuations in bandwidth, which are a common occurrence in wireless connections, for instance.

    Thanks to automatically synchronized time tracking, you can search for events on several different cameras simultaneously.  The alarm search combines a series of functions designed to simplify the search for events.  The Storyboard is a film strip that permits rapid review of the event images.  And the Event List enables the rapid search of events based on time criteria.  You can analyze the event that initiated an alarm in more detail using the event viewer.

    All MOBOTIX cameras come with all functions required for automatic, event-controlled access to a control center.  Access can take place via ISDN, a network, or the Internet. If events occur, the cameras transmit a message via the network to the control center computer, which then saves the event image, creates a live image, and brings it to the foreground of the monitor (where possible), and sends an acoustic signal to the user.

    You can even integrate analog cameras of other manufacturers into the professional control center software.  MOBOTIX cameras not only store images and alarms internally, but they can also store the video data on external storage systems on the LAN with every camera maintaining its own directory structure.
